Lake Muskry (Lough Muskry) – To get to the beginning of the route, follow the N24 road to Bansha, then head towards Coolgurt and Rossadrehid.

This scenic route is located in the Galtee mountains in the southern part of County Tipperary,it is a moderate 3.5 kilometer walking route leading at the foot of the Greenane Mountain (802 m above sea level).

It runs first through the forest and then leads us through the cliffs up to the beautiful Lake Muskry.

During our trip, unfortunately, the weather wasn’t good, we had a very cloudy sky, and the fog fell from the mountains, and when we took a picnic break it started to rain – luckily it stopped raining just as quickly.
