Dingle Peninsula (Corca Dhuibhne) – this 48 km stretch of Ireland is located on the southwestern coast of the country and is surrounded by sandy beaches and rocky cliffs that make up this dramatic scenery – almost perfect for photography enthusiasts, the whole Dingle region is considered a bastion Irish culture and language. Inland there are beautiful mountains with their highest peak of Mt. Brandon, which I’ve already mentioned at https://www.eirego.com/mount-brandon/

On of the most prominent promontory is the village of Dunquin, it is the most westerly settlement in Ireland, where Peig Sayers came from, a writer who was named one of the greatest storytellers of recent times.

In the village there is also probably the most photographed pier in the world with a characteristic winding shape, from which until 2014, ferries departed for the Blasket Islands.

The entire peninsula has something to offer for everyone, from sandy beaches, beautiful bicycle routes, history, mountain trails, fishing, delicious cuisine, surfing spots and many other attractions .
