Cork City Gaol – is one of the most recognizable tourist attractions in Cork, it is a former prison, now turned into a museum. The prison itself was originally opened  in 1824 and operated until 1923.

This prison was designed to replace the old one, which was located in the very center of the city and was threatened by floods.

The museum and exhibitions fascinate visitors of all ages and nationalities, and the route is available in as many as 13 languages.

In the same place there is a museum of radio that will provide a nostalgic journey back to the beginnings of Radio.
